The event is planned for Dec.16 at Larch Hills in Salmon Arm at twilight during the next New Moon. Get out and try something new with a GPS. Meet other geocachers for a fun get together with a geo-snow hunt followed by a geocaching social fondue at the Chalet. A new cache is planned to be published to compliment the event. The event is free if you have your own equipment. (A donation to the Larch Hills Ski Club for using the trails is encouraged). Food costs for the fondue will be shared by anyone wishing to participate. We will be organizing group discounts for transportation and snowshoe rentals. A bus will be doing pick-ups at 5pm in Salmon Arm and we hope to get started at before 6pm. A package including transportation, a stop at Larch Hills Winery with a free tasting, snowshoe rentals, trail donation, and fondue is available for $45 including tax. Give us a call at 250.833.3111 for more information or to register. [Poster] :: [Cache Listing]
Shuswap GeoQuest has started to tweet regularly on Twitter. We have found it useful not only to share what is happening with our project, but also to learn what's happening with others. Stay current by following people and organizations. Twitter is a great way to learn about trends: what's popular, what's not, what are people talking about. It has the potential to eat up valuable time, but can also provide useful insights.
Come to this session and learn how Twitter can help you network and build business. This seminar will show you how to bring a community interested in sharing business and knowledge. Common questions about Twitter include, how relevant is Twitter to my business and how much energy do I need to dedicate to this tool? Brainstorm with other small business owners on how to engage a network of twitter followers and determine if Twitter is right for you and your business.
The seminar is being offered through Small Business BC in conjunction with Community Futures.

The BC Geocaching Association has launched an exciting new geocaching game available to BCGA members. There will be several GeoBingo games throughout the year. Each game will have a different level of difficulty. This is a blind Bingo game. Players will be able to see tasks as they are drawn. However, they will not be able to see where the tasks are on their card until after their card matches a draw. There are more tasks than spaces available on the card.
